MITCHELL — Main Street buzzed with activity Friday evening as residents turned out for the season’s first 1st Fridays on Main event, celebrating local art, music and community spirit.
The evening included the unveiling of Hope, the first permanent sculpture to be installed on Mitchell’s Main Street. Created by local artist Clark Martinek, the piece was revealed during a brief ceremony attended by Mitchell Main Street and Beyond officials, artists and community members.
The sculpture, positioned prominently near the intersection of 5th Avenue and Main Street.
