WappArt collaborates with artist Sara Pope to showcase new exhibition at London Dock

Sara Pope’s creative process is as captivating as her final pieces. Beginning with a makeup brush and lipstick, she meticulously paints her models’ lips, capturing their unique expressions through a detailed photographic study. These photographs serve as the foundation for her paintings, where she applies several layers of thin, diluted oil paint, occasionally mixed with lipstick. The result is a glossy, tantalizing surface that irresistibly portrays the human mouth, illustrating red’s primal influence on our autonomy.

Pope’s works have garnered widespread acclaim, with exhibitions at prestigious venues such as Paris’ Next Street Gallery, London’s Saatchi Gallery, and the Royal Academy of Arts.
