Soden Collection is championing Shropshire’s leading artists after being invited to exhibit at the British Art Fair 2025 at Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea this September 25 – 28. Pictured: Jonathan Soden with sculptor Halima Cassell MBE during the installation of her ‘Virtues of Unity’ at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery for Shrewsbury Arts Trail.
The British Art Fair at the iconic Saatchi Gallery is an annual highlight in the world of Modern British and Contemporary Art, showcasing the very finest artists in the country. This year, Shrewsbury’s Soden Collection is shining a powerful spotlight on fine artists in Shropshire, after being invited to exhibit at the prestigious fair.
It places the Shrewsbury gallery and selected Shropshire artists on a national stage.
Presented by Soden Collection will be sculptor Halima Cassell MBE, from Aston-on-Clun near Craven Arms whose ‘Virtues of Unity’ installation was part of Shrewsbury Arts Trail this year and Shrewsbury-born painter Louis Wootton-Davies whose solo exhibition ‘Pub Money’ was at Soden Collection this August. Also among the Soden group of artists are Shrewsbury painter Ann McCay, wildlife painter Lucy McLaven and figurative artist Sharon Griffin, from Wellington, whose ceramic sculptures are directly inspired by the woodland – she will be taking 200 miniature fauns to the show this year!
