The Beaufort Arms revealed the sculpture in its garden on Monday, June 30 as part of the Gromit Unleashed 3 trail.
The statue, named Once Upon a Time, was designed by artist Freya Hartas and features references to classic stories and Bristol folklore.
Mark Steeds, landlord of The Beaufort Arms, said: “Our Gromit’s name is Once Upon a Time and features stories and fables serendipitously to do with Bristol’s past – the Three Bears, Unicorns and The Man in the Moon amongst many others.
“It’s a stunning piece of work, if I may say so.”
The unveiling was carried out by the oldest and youngest pupils from Hawkesbury Primary School, who pulled back a motorcycle tarpaulin to reveal the colourful Gromit.
They were joined by Mr Steeds and Ms Hartas for the ceremony.
A second unveiling was carried out later on in the day, by trainees from Props who tend the pub’s market garden.
Props is a Fishponds based charity for post 16 Trainees with educational needs.
The statue will remain in the pub garden until the end of August, when the trail concludes.
After the trail, all Gromit sculptures will be auctioned to raise money for charity.
Gromit Unleashed is a public arts trail featuring giant sculptures of popular Aardman characters.
