The piece at Hanningfield Waterside Park, which stands six feet tall, was previously part of Farleigh Hospice’s “Buzz in the City” sculpture trail in Chelmsford last year.
It has now been given a permanent home outside the Fishing Lodge, close to the Café on the Water, after being designed by Essex artist Mhairi Rankin.
Essex and Suffolk Water, which manages the site, says the sculpture titled British Summertime is already attracting interest from visitors during the half-term break.
A spokesman for Essex and Suffolk Water added: “The buzz about Hanningfield Waterside Park is that a bee-autiful new bee sculpture has been unveiled this half term.
“The six-foot tall bee statue was part of Farleigh Hospice Buzz in the City sculpture trail in Chelmsford City Centre last year.”
