A new events space and community hub has opened up in London Fields, described as a “creative hub for electronic music, art, and fashion”.
SECTION. opened its doors for the first time in April, launched by DJs Bessie-Mae and DJ OT, who also run underground London techno party Tech Couture.
The new space features a minimalist layout, and sits on Netil Lane in east London – an intimate spot where “culture meets”, as described by founders.

SECTION. is set to host weekly livestreams “broadcast to the world”, with its first “online visual residency” taking place in April from London-based creative Sam Driscoll.
So far, the space has hosted sets from the likes of I. JORDAN, Lovefoxy, Bailey Ibbs, MarcelDune, NIKS, Wes Baggaley, Tasha, Josh Caffé, LUXE, and many more.
SECTION. has also collaborated with Amaliah’s Borne Fruits label, and has teamed up with FOLD’s regular techno event, UNFOLD.

“Thank you to all the artists who have graced our space in our first few weeks and set the tone for what is to come,” they said in a recent Instagram post. “And most of all, the dancers and attendees who are making this space so special.”
Speaking to Resident Advisor, DJ OT and Bessie-Mae explained that the idea for SECTION. came after noticing a gap in the dance music scene for non-club spaces, with plans to make it a prominent creative community platform in London.
