The launch included enhanced architectural lighting and fresh displays around the lake, plus new installations designed specifically for this year’s route.
Visitors can walk the full circuit around the water, with the reflections from classical temples and woodland proving popular for photographs.

The trail continues on selected dates until New Year’s Eve and remains popular for winter visitors across the South West.
New elements for this year include Tis The Season, a set of extra-large neon baubles by Output Arts.
The decorations, inspired by Christmas memories, range from 30cm to 60cm in diameter and 40cm to 90cm in height, hanging overhead.
Other new highlights for 2025 include 12 illuminated stars up to 5m high by ArtAV and six walkthrough star arches 4.7m tall and over 3m wide.
Returning favourites include neon spiral trees and the 24m-long Christmas Cathedral.
Visitors can also expect illuminated snowdrop and cyclamen flowers, chandeliers crafted from 200 glowing battens, and five neon winter flowers ivy, mistletoe, holly, poinsettia and amaryllis – each standing 2.5m tall.
Visitors can also enjoy food and drink from selected stalls, including spiced winter beverages and marshmallows toasted over open fire pits.
The Christmas at Stourhead light trail is organised by Sony Music in partnership with the National Trust.
