

STUTTGART — As part of the 68th Grand Prairie Festival of Arts, the Decorative Arts session will be held this weekend, March 14-16, at the Grand Prairie Center, 2807 U.S. Highway 167, Stuttgart.
The festival exhibits will be open to the public Friday, noon to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
In addition to the judged entries, a special exhibit will showcase quilts from award-winning longarm quilters Eddie Landreth of Benton and Leah Sample of Little Rock. Eddie is known as the Arkansas Man Quilter and Leah is known as Leachele’s Sampler, on social media.
During the 2 p.m. closing reception on Sunday afternoon, a Quilts of Valor ceremony will award two quilts of valor to veterans from Pulaski and Lincoln counties. The Quilts of Valor presentation has been coordinated by the newly formed Grand Prairie Quilts of Valor group, which meets the last Wednesday of each month at The French Seam, 2015 South Buerkle St., Stuttgart.
