London Art-Rock Quartet Cherry i Announce Debut EP and Share Urgent Single “Arctic Sun”

Formed in 2025 by two musicians who relocated to the UK amid the conflict in their Ukrainian homeland, Cherry i have quickly carved out a reputation as one of the capital’s most compelling new underground acts. Despite having only met a handful of times before moving, the band’s core members forged a deep creative partnership that has already racked up over 100,000 streams across their first two singles. Their atmospheric live shows have ignited a passionate word-of-mouth buzz across London’s defining DIY circuit, centred firmly around the Windmill Brixton scene.

Their latest offering, “Arctic Sun,” masterfully distils this early momentum into a dense, emotionally raw arrangement. Working alongside legendary producer Ali Chant (PJ Harvey, Yard Act, Soccer Mommy), the band pairs dark, incisive instrumentation with haunting, spectral vocals.

Of the single, vocalist Nikol Kozin explains,

“what it is like to be in a desperate state of looking for fulfilment in a romantic relationship without complications. Something that on its own can be like addiction with the lyrics stating, ‘after you, after you, I quit people’”

Lyrically, the song navigates the desperate, almost addictive pursuit of uncomplicated romantic fulfilment, building to an incendiary peak that highlights the band’s immense ambition. Alongside the single, the band have also announced their debut EP, Yes, but I could never tell that lie, set for release on July 17th.
