The great and the good of the art world descended on Somerset House for the opening of the 41st edition of the London Original Print Fair. As hail thrashed against the windows, the Duke of Norfolk, the Orson family, Cassius Taylor and organiser, the Countess of Rosslyn and her daughter Alice St Clair, arrived alongside Tracey Emin, who unveiled a new series of exclusive prints for the fair, on view until Sunday.
Emin’s new body of work, I Need Tomorrow, tells an intimate love story through six lithographs the artist described as ‘a gift’ to herself – raw, tender self-portraits in the confessional style for which she is famed. Nearby, she held court beside the prints, deep in conversation with photographer Dave Benett, while Margate artist and longtime friend Robert Diament stopped by to congratulate her.
