Crouch End Open Studios launched at Hornsey Library showcased a wide range of disciplines, including sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, oils and watercolours, textiles and photography, with artists on hand to speak to visitors and discuss potential commissions.
A special moment occurred when Gaetano Mansi was introduced standing next to a piece of mosaic by his late wife Barbara.

Other exhibits included a display by Kiki Machado and a presentation of Maria Cabrera’s pottery.

The day also featured newly opened spaces like the Town Hall and Louis Caulfield’s graphics at the Crypt Studio.

On May 10, despite a chill in the air, visitors continued to explore the artwork. Andy Metcalf offered pieces of his work on the condition that recipients wrote down what the work meant to them.
Hornsey Library’s Promenade was packed, with almost 1,000 people visiting the main gallery.
The half dozen artists showing at Holy Innocents’ Church also reportedly saw a steady stream of visitors.
