With two bank holiday weekends and warmer weather, venues across the capital are hosting some of the city’s biggest annual events.
London Craft Week
London Craft Week, running from May 11 to 17, will see more than 1,000 artists, designers, and makers participate in workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions, and open studios, celebrating both traditional and contemporary craftsmanship.

London Coffee Festival
The London Coffee Festival, one of Europe’s largest, will be held at the Truman Brewery in Brick Lane from May 14 to 17.
The event will feature tastings, demonstrations, latte art competitions, and talks from industry leaders.
RHS Chelsea Flower Show
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show returns to the Royal Hospital Chelsea from May 19 to 23, with public access from May 21.
The show will feature show gardens, floral displays, and horticultural exhibitions.
Field Day Festival
Field Day Festival, featuring electronic music from major UK dance scene names such as Floating Points, Andy C, and Joy Orbison, will take over Brockwell Park on May 23.
Cross The Tracks
Cross The Tracks, a festival celebrating South London culture with jazz, soul, funk, and hip-hop, will return to Brockwell Park on May 24.
The event will also feature food markets and community activities.
City Splash
City Splash will close Brockwell Park’s bank holiday festival weekend on May 25, with Caribbean and African music culture celebrations, featuring reggae, dancehall, afrobeats, and amapiano performances.
Dulwich Festival
The Dulwich Festival, running from May 8 to 17, will feature live performances, art exhibitions, literary talks, and family activities across South London venues, including an outdoor artist open house trail.
Photo London
Photo London, an international photography fair, will return to Olympia London from May 14 to 17, showcasing galleries, photographers, and exhibitions from around the world.
Mighty Hoopla
The pop-focused Mighty Hoopla festival will return to Brockwell Park on May 30 and 31.
The event, which has grown into one of London’s biggest LGBTQ+ music festivals, will feature chart acts, DJs, and drag performers across multiple stages.
More events happening this month
Other events taking place across London during May include outdoor theatre festivals, Korean food celebrations, rooftop music events, open-air cinema screenings, and community street festivals.
