Bright Lights is back in WellSpan Park
York Revolution’s Bright Nights opens Thursday, Nov. 20 and runs Thursday thru Sunday until Dec. 28.
Creative York presents Squared: Annual Small Works Show, a gallery exhibition of small format artworks on view Saturday through Dec. 27.
An opening reception will take place 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday in the Kerlin Gallery at 10 N. Beaver St.
The exhibition has invited artists to create within the limits of a 12-inch square or cube. Visitors to Squared will see work across many forms, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media by local and regional artists. The exhibit has more than 100 works, each priced under $500.
Creative York also is featuring the artists Michael Hower and Maria Maneos in the Art Lab exhibition, Hidden in Plain Sight (Site). Maneos is a visual artist from the Philadelphia area, and Hower is a photographer from Harrisburg. Together, their collaboration offers a multifaceted exploration of the intersection between incarceration, mental health and the human experience.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with extended hours of 5-9 p.m. on First Fridays. Admission is free and open to the public.
